Dave... Appreciate the offer of help with Wayne Co. genealogy ( ^ - ^ )
My brick wall has been for my GGG grandparents Thomas Taylor b. ca 1780 NC
d. 2/17/1874 & wife Hannah Newby b. ca 1801 NC d. 8/19/1841 both died in
Boston Twp., Wayne Co. and are buried at Stateline Cemetery. I had hoped to
find mention of parents/siblings for either of them-but no luck. Have tried
to find an obit for Hannah but haven't come up with anything for her other
than what is on her gravestone. Lots of info on Thomas once he came to
Wayne Co., but nothing on Hannah. My line is through their son John Taylor
who married Mary Bozworth.
Thomas is listed in the History of Wayne Co., IN where his wife is listed as
Hannah Nuby. Hoping maybe Thomas and/or Hannah had siblings in Wayne Co..
Any help appreciated....

Hello ALL,
The picture on the cover is my 3rd Great-Grandfather (I use that picture
as my background on my laptop). I live in Richmond, Wayne, IN and am very
active in Genealogy. If anyone needs anything either from me or from Wayne
County, please contact me. I love to share and to assist other researchers.
Thanks,
Dave Sloan
There are 2 Newby burials in the Boston Cemetery.
Calvin, son of W. & Sarah d. 7-27-1855 9m-21-
Mary 1840-1912 with the notation ( she may be Mary Sarah Sechrist who was m. 3-26-1862
to James Newby)
also in Boston
Nathan Taylor 1816-1900
(son of Thomas & Hannah( Newby) Taylor)
This info from Beverly Yount's "Tombstone Inscriptions in Wayne County,
Indiana"
Might also look at Guilldford , Randolph, & Surry counties in NC where many early
settlers in Boston & Abington Twps came from.
Good Luck.
Theresa
