Subject: [WAYNE_IN] Lost souls in Wayne county
Good afternoon...
Some kind soul or was it souls said they would do lookups....well I have
some. It all started with one Samuel T. HOGUE/HOGG b 1820 Amherst county,
Virginia and d 1892 in Montgomery county, Missouri.
By 1839 he was in Richmond, Wayne county where he married an Elizabeth GOFF
1816-1841 or so. I know nothing about her and I don't know where she is
buried in Wayne county. They had a son John N.
HOGUE that I can't find either. After the death of Elizabeth, Samuel married
Sarah STEPHENSON in 1843 in Wayne. I don't have parents for her either. She
was b 1823 in perhaps North Carolina but that depends on which census one
looks at. She died 1902 in Montgomery county, Missouri. Samuel appears to
have stayed in Wayne county until about
1853 or so. Samuel had a sister, Lucy HOGG who married a William PAXTON.
They lived in Dublin, Wayne county....just in case thus helps.
I would certainly appreciate any help. If anyone needs lookups in the
Juneau, Alaska area, I would be glad to help.
Mary in Alaska
