Hi Jerry:
My Stevenson family purchased land in the Gore about 1807 in Wayne County. Do your books
talk about Stevenson's or Hudelson/Huddeston at all? If so, I'd be interested in
a copy, and would be happy to reimburse you for expenses.

Hello Darlene,
I might be able to help you with your missing pages. I have a DVD of
several books published years ago on Wayne County history. Since I have many
families that came through Wayne County over the years I have gathered
many books and had them placed on a DVD for safe keeping, I can make copies for
anyone who wishes them and send them to whoever wishes them. Since all the
records are complete, I know that they can all be printed and transferred.
I would more than happy to help out in any way with this project. Give me
a day to type the names of all the books I have on the DVD and let me know
what ones you need or all of them.

Hello Theresa and Everyone,
Theresa - I will place your name on the list for January and I will be
contacting you then. Thank you so much for volunteering!
Unfortunately, the information you see on the web site is what was left
when
the previous coordinator quit. I am in the process of organizing the
information so I can become familiar with the information on the site and
know what is there and what is not.
I will tell you and everyone else on the list that any information that is
submitted to me, posted to the website, will remain on the Wayne Co site
even if I'm not the coordinator. I don't have any plans of going anywhere
any time soon! I will be around for awhile. I have also told Denise Wells,
the State Coordinator, that the Wayne Co and Boone Co (my other site on
INGenWeb) are to become part of the Legacy (or whatever they call it when
they set the program up) sites on INGenWeb. I have done the same thing for
my TNGenWeb sites which are Claiborne and Williamson counties.
I volunteered for Wayne County because my husband and his family moved
there
around 1959. He is originally from Brookville IN, but he grew up and
graduated from Richmond HS. He has family in Union and Franklin counties.
Also, I do a great deal of research in the Southwest part of Virginia
(Grayson on over to Lee), Northeast section of Tennessee (Hawkins,
Claiborne) and understand that some of the families I know in these areas
moved into Wayne County at some point. I don't believe these families are a
direct relationship (at this point) but any little tidbit of information I
can find may help me in documenting information about some of my husband's
people. We also go to Richmond a couple of times a month as his mother is
still living. We (hubby and I) are life members of the Genealogical Society
of Wayne County. So there you have it and this is why you're stuck with me.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Have a great genealogy day!

Hi Darlene,
I may have some time to type some pages in January. I will get back to you
about that then.
I would like to know if the material I submitted in the past is retrievable
from the pages Katy Hestead & past coordinators have posted on
Wayne Co. site? There was a wealth of information, so I am hoping it is
not
lost.
Thanks
Theresa Berghoff

Subject: [WAYNE_IN] Wayne Co INGenWeb Needs a Volunteer
Hello,
My name is Darlene Anderson and I'm the new coordinator for the Wayne
County
INGenWeb site. I am looking for someone, a volunteer, to transcribe the
history pages on the website. Go to
http://www.ingenweb.org/inwayne/history/
to view the gif files on the site already. All you have to do is type the
information as a Word doc file. If anyone is interested please contact me.
Thanks for your consideration!
