Bob,
I to, am looking for a Wilson. I am looking for my GrGrandfather John D. Wilson. John

marriage license is the only
thing I have found on him My GrGrandmother married Amos Hanes in 1859. My Grandfather
William M Wilson was born May 16, 1851, They all lived around Centerville, In Wayne
County.
My Grandfather married amd had 5 boys by his first marriage and 2 boys and a girl by his
second marriage, if you are interested I can furnish you with additional information.
I have been over 10 years butting my head against this brick wall.

Subject: [WAYNE_IN] Early Wayne County Settlers, Tax Lists
Date: Sun, 9 May 2010 15:57:46 GMT
Greetings!
New to the list. What resources are available on the white settlers
to Wayne county in the 1805-1810 time period, such as tax lists,
lists of voters, etc.?
I have heard stories that some of the first settlers to the area were
from North Carolina. Any truth to this?
My surnames here are Wilson and Mosier (maybe Mosier, not sure what
her maiden name was).
Many thanks,
Bob Wilson,
Burrton, KS
