Our early Quaker relatives, about the time frame you give, came over to
Union County and Wayne from Warren County, Ohio and Long Island New York.

Subject: [WAYNE_IN] Early Wayne County Settlers, Tax Lists
Greetings!
New to the list. What resources are available on the white settlers to
Wayne county in the 1805-1810 time period, such as tax lists, lists of
voters, etc.?
I have heard stories that some of the first settlers to the area were from
North Carolina. Any truth to this?
My surnames here are Wilson and Mosier (maybe Mosier, not sure what her
maiden name was).
Many thanks,
Bob Wilson,
Burrton, KS
