To obtain a copy of the certificate you need to pay for a copy, as birth
certificates are jot open to public view. Aberdare was in the Merthyr Tydfil
district.
http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/Certificates.html tells you about what is on
certificates and how you can order from the GRO (General Register Office)
online using major credit cards.
In 1901 census Emma HURT is shown as age 9 , which does not seem to square
with the birth registration date, but is closer to your original enquiry.
RG13/5036 f164 page 41 schedule 232
Aberdare , St John's Parish

William HURT Head M 44 Fishmonger b Leicestershire,Shepshed

John William HURT Son S 21 Fishmonger b Cheshire,Seacombe
Harry HURT Son 18 Fishmonger b Cheshire,Seacombe
Frank HURT Son 16 Fishmonger b Cheshire,Seacombe
Arthur HURT Son 14 Fishmonger b Cheshire,Seacombe
Richard HURT Son 11 b Leicestershire,Loughboro'
Emma HURT Daur 9 b Glamorgan, Aberdare
The parents and Emma are shown as speaking English only, but all the sons
indicate that they speak both Welsh and English. The fishmonger business was
on their own account, at their home.
There is a place called Long Whatton in Leicestershire. Like Shepshed it was
in Loughborough registration district. Seacombe was a part of Wallasey on
the Wirral peninsula, in Birkenhead registration district at the relevant
time.
There is a birth of a Richard HURT in Merthyr Tydfil District in 1891, and
an Alfred Hurt in 1893, as well as the Emma that you found. There was also a
HURT family with children born in the 1890s in Pontypridd district.
I suspect that the marriage of William HURT and Mary Ann TOMLINSON in 1879
September quarter in Southwell, Nottinghamshire may be relevant, or possibly
William HURT and Mary Ann COUTHERS in 1876 September quarter in
Nottingham,Nottinghamshire, rather nearer than Southwell to both their
birthplaces.
The William HURT in Aberdare 1901 seems to have been son on Thomas and
Elizabeth HURT, in Loughborough in 1871 census. He seems to have died in
June quarter 1903 in Merthyr Tydfil district.
John William seems to have married Dec quarter 1901, and had a son William
in 1904.
After some hunting the family can be found at Cefn Pennar, Aberdare in
1891at 3 Daniel Street, when William, 34 was a Miner's labourer, the older
two boys are said to have been born in Cheshire, Liverpool and the younger
two at Leicestershire,Loughbro. The reference is RG12/4448 f39 p 14 schedule
70. The handwriting is rather poor.
Hope this helps

Subject: [WALES-GEN] Birth Records - Glamorgan District
On Free BMD have found possible birth of my Emma Hurt as follows:
HURT Emma Merthyr T. (Tydfil) Vol. 11a Pge 779 March (1st quarter ?) 1895.
Does anyone have access to these Records? And if so, would it be
possible
for some kind sole to obtain copy of same for me. Being here in Canada,
have to admit not sure if you have the same access to Records that we do.
Any direction would be gratefully appreciated.
Ellen
