Hi Graham,
I find the 3.0 Viewer wonderful, in fact I think its magic! I had heard
about the 4.0 one but was told by the Distribution Centre that it was not
yet available, that was about six weeks ago. I am surprised it is not as
versatile as the 3.0, can you tell what it does extra to the 2.0? Also is
it possible to have both the 3.0 and 4.0 installed and swap from one to the
other.

Margaret, I think it has to be: install 2.0 first, then as they become
available, 3.0, then 4.0 if you are lucky. Your computer maintains the
qualities of the three viewers, so you don't have to do any swapping around
- they all work in together. BUT, if you have to re-install the whole
Viewer prodecure due to some corrupt files or a computer crash, I am sure
you will have to follow the above formula - seems to be that way. I did not
re-install viewer 3, thinking (quite erroneously, it seems) that viewer 4
would do the job, but no the lovely and fascinating word search facility
was just not there, so I shall have to go and get the viewer 3 disk and
reinstall it, then possibly re-install viewer 4 again. Viewer 4 doesn't
seem to do anything much, except that I think it will allow you to get a
parent search from the British Vital Record disks, and that would certainly
be worth the while having it.
