after January due to the holidays and some minor surgery.)
The following article was found in the Wilkes-Barre (PA) Record, 15 May 1902, Page 4. If

"Many of the friends of Mrs. William D. Simon will be sorry to learn of her death,
which occurred on Wednesday at about noon at Miner's Mills. Mrs. Simon was born in
South Wales on May 6, 1847. She was the daughter of William Thomas and was married to
William Simon in Ferndale, Glamorganshire, South Wales, on September 4, 1876. There were
born to them five children - Lewis, in Wales, Mary A. and William T., John M. and Idris.
Idris died on September 4, 1889, at the age of 11 months, and Mary A. died on June 3,
1893, at the age of 15 years. Funeral on Friday at 2 o'clock p.m."
