"Mrs. Martha Reese, aged 68 years, widow of the late Reese Reese, 25 Hazle street,
who died yesterday morning of paralysis, was an estimable woman and an earnest Christian.
For over a quarter of a century she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Nearly ten
years ago the happy old couple held their ruby wedding at their residence on Prospect
street and the large family of children were all present. Mr. Reese died two years ago [10
Mar 1899]. They were married in the old parish church, St. Tydvil, Merthyr Tydvil, by
Rector Campbell, who afterwards was bishop of Bangor for over forty years. Mrs. Reese is
survived by the following adult children: Mrs. J.F. Kibler, of Springville, Mo.; William,
Thomas, Reese, Edward, Mary and Lizzie, at home, and Daniel Reese, of St. Clair, Pa.
"The funeral will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the residence, 25 Hazle street.
Rev. B.F.G. McGee will officiate. Interment will be in Hollenback Cemetery."
