"George D. Morgans of Ashley died at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning. He was an
old resident of this city and nine years ago moved to Ashley. He was a native of
Cardiganshire, Wales, and was born in the year 1837. He is survived by his wife and
daughter, Mrs. George Cavil of the Heights, and stepdaughter in Ashley, one brother in
Wales. The funeral will take place on Friday at 2 o'clock p.m. with services at the
church. Rev. Dr. W.J. Richards and Rev. Dr. Roberts will officiate.
"Mr. Morgans was a zealous worker from childhood in many churches and was a deacon in
the Welsh Presbyterian Church at Ashley. Interment will be in the City Cemetery."
