Hi:
It would be wonderful if you could break down my very high thick wall.
Here's what I have:
Philip Jones, great-great grandfather, born about 1826 in Pontypool,
Monmouthshire
Sarah Fear, wife, born about 1835 in Publow, Somersetshire
I'm back to the early 1500s on the Fear line, it's Philip Jones that I'm
interested in. Philip Jones, wife Sarah, Samuel, 3 and Sarah 2 mos. are
found living in Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire in 1861. The 2 month old Sarah is
my great-grandmother. I've been able to track the family from 1861 forward,
and I've tracked Sarah Fear back to the Chew Magna, Somerset Fears in early
1500.
Later census records indicate Philip Jones was born in Pontypool; however, I
just retrieved the actual 1861 census (I had the information previously from
the index), and that census stated he was born in Manmoel, Bedwelty,
Monmouthshire. I know looking for Jones in Wales is like looking for a
needle in a haystack, but I would appreciate any help you can give.
If you need more information, let me know. Thanks so much.

Subject: [WALES-GEN] Help from South Australia
Hello All,
I'm in South Australia. A few years ago I was doing considerable FREE
research
for people in Wales who had ancestors who emigrated to South
Australia. Researching genealogy is my favourite hobby. I am now able to
return to doing research for people in Wales who need information.
I DO NOT CHARGE anything for this. I do it because I enjoy the search, and
it gives
me a great feeling of achievement when and if I can find
information which may be of help to someone.
As I have now moved to a country town about 1-1/2 hours drive from the
city of
Adelaide (and therefore the main library) I do not get into the
library as often as I can. Therefore, if there is something/someone you
would like me to research for you, it may take a week or two before I can
get the results back to you. I will search each request in the order in
which I receive them i.e. first in, first served.
I repeat. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY FREE!. It's a hobby which I love.
Look forward to hearing from you if you would like me to do some searching
for you
here in South Australia.
Regards
Heather Hobbis
