Great stuff Giles. Just what we needed.
Here's a little tip for folks who may access the catalog and eventually
order films (and fiche) to view at their local LDS library. I keep all the
little pink copies of my orders in a shoe box, carefully divided into
counties. The shoe box is half full! The reason I do this is so as not to
forget what I have ordered years ago, and if I need the film again one day,
I simply refer to the little pink slip with the call number on it - such is
the case with parish registers sometimes after you find a new family branch
name that you need to investigate. Films on order that have yet to be
received are kept separately, so that a track of what one has recently
ordered may be kept. When I look around the study at the piles of papers
here, I surprise myself that for once I have been tidy and have at least,
one thing in proper order! Oh, two things - I have my genealogy details
fully backed up on two separate zip drive disks and another one kept at my
niece's house in case of fire, flood, famine, etc. Apart from that, Charles
Dickens would have trouble finding anything here.
