"THE RELAPSE PROVED FATAL
"Yesterday afternoon the funeral of George Lewis, who died of blood
poisoning on Wednesday, took place. He had been ailing for several
months, but was thought to be recovering, and ventured out last week.
He had a relapse, to which he succumbed. He was a single man, aged 29
years, and was a resident of Rhondda Valley, Wales, and has been in
Wilkes-Barre for four years. He was a man well respected in the
community and was a member of Modec Tribe of Red Men, and Prospect
Lodge, 490, K. of P. The latter lodge attended the funeral in full
regalia. Interment was in Hollenback Cemetery."
