"Shortly before noon yesterday occurred the death of Edward T. Jones at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Winifred Morgan of Walnut street. Deceased suffered for some time past
from general debility and his death, though regretted by a host of friends and relatives,
was not unexpected. He was born at Low Bridge, Glamorganshire, South Wales, March 12,
1840, and was upwards of 62 years of age. He is survived by his wife and four children,
as follows: Mrs. Winifred Morgan, Edward A. and Milton Jones of this town and William of
Old Forge. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon. Services will be conducted
at the house by Rev. J. Bradshaw and Rev. T. Cook. Interment will be in Forty Fort
Cemetery."
