Question - Does anyone know Richard Hopkins alias internet thief
To all Honest Family Historians.
Toady I discovered that a Richard Hopkins has been searching
the net and copying other peoples work in particular transcribed
parish records.
I have looked at his site and discovered he is copying my work
which I have forked our over £2500 pound for and also spent the
last 5 years collecting and transcribing this material.
About 6 months ago I started to put this work on a website and
hope to by the end of this year have all the baptisms, marriages
and burials for the county of Monmouthshire 1725 - 1837.
I am working and helping others every day of the week free of
charge, but is all this hard work worth it, when somebody like
this can come along and copy it and claim it for themselve.
He has even copied my mistakes which I have yet to alter and check.

Richard Hopkins e.mail which was posted on the Mommouthshire
List. I hope this okay to do.
Howdy listers
I would like to announce the beta test for a new on-line database to all and
sundry in the MON and SOM lists. I have spent the last couple of weeks
transcribing and collating data from others in a new database which is now
on-line and free to access. It is however, in beta test, and may be subject
to change in the near future.
You can find it at
http://www.cefnpennar.com and any feedback would be
appreciated. If anyone would like to submit data I would be very grateful.
All copyrights are maintained and the idea of the site is for free access to
all. Anyway, enough talk, have a look and let me know what you all think
(for good or bad).
Regards
Richard Hopkins
