I just received the death certificate for my Great-Great-Grandfather, David
R. Harris. He died in Pennsylvania, USA, in July of 1912. He was born May
12, 1838 in Wales.
On the death certificate, his father's name was listed as Ruse Harris, also
born in Wales.
I'm hoping someone can do a lookup for me in the 1851 census for a Ruse
Harris that had a son named David --12/13 years old.
If there is an 1841 census, I would appreciate the same information. David
of course would have been 2/3 years old.
I don't know (yet) that much about English/Welsh names, but perhaps the name
of Ruse, as listed on the death certificate, should have been Russ, Russell,
Rees, so something similar.
Any help would be appreciated.
My wife and I plan on making a trip to Wales in two years. I'll buy a beer
for anyone able to assist!!!
Thanks.
