"After an illness of six months Mrs. Margaret Jane Jones, wife of Joshua Jones, died
at her late home on Railroad street at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was 35
years old and was born in Dowalis, South Wales. Thirteen years ago she came to this
country. Shortly after her arrival in this country she married Joshua Jones. Two years
of her married life were spent at Plymouth and for the past eleven years the family have
resided in Pittston. Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Congregational Church. She was
an active worker in the church and was beloved by all with whom she came in contact. Mrs.
Jones had no relatives in this country. She leaves one son, Fenwick, aged eleven years,
and her husband to mourn her departure. The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon.
Services will be held in the Congregational Church."
