"Rev. Dr. Gwesyn Jones of Utica, N.Y., a well known minister of the Welsh
Congregational Church, having been nearly fifty years in the ministry, thirty-four of
which he spent in Utica, died on Thursday. He came to this country from Merthyr Tydvil.
"The association of Oneida County, together with friends in Wales, have been making
arrangements to present to Rev. Dr. Jones a monetary testimonial at the close of his half
century of work in the Christian ministry, but his demise ends the movement."
