"Mrs. Elizabeth Williams of 151 South Empire street, died on Thursday morning of
neuralgia of the heart, aged 71 years. Deceased was born in Dowlais, South Wales, and
came to this country about 12 years ago. She was formerly Mrs. Meredith Evans, her first
husband having died about three years ago [16 Feb 1899]. Mrs. Williams was a member of
the First Welsh Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband and nine sons and
daughters - Mrs. Elizabeth Jones of Olyphant; Mrs. James Davis; Mrs. Richard Morgans; Mrs.
David Coates; Mrs. Joseph Bound; Cassie Williams and John M. Evans, Evan Evans, and Edward
Evans.
"The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with services at
the house. Rev. Mr. Rees of Lee Park and Rev. Mr. Johns will officiate. Interment will
be in Hollenback Cemetery."
