Hi Patience,
Please feel free to give my information to other Lists. The BHC List is an active List
and has been for most of 10 years. And, many of the researchers there have spent many
years trying to "spread the word" about the U.K.'s Child Migrant Scheme.
I see I forgot to mention in my first message that the researchers on the BHC List spent
several years trying to get the government in Canada to officially "notice" the
"Home Children." We finally succeeded, and last year was "2010, the Year
of the British Home Child." Letters were written, talks were given, museums
mentioned them, and even 2 "BHC Quilts" were created to honor them.
As I did say before there is a lot of information in the archives of that List.

(I belong to over 100 Lists, but mostly in regard to New England and New York (USA).
And then the U.K. where all of my ancestors came from, either in the 1600's, or during
the 1800's. And, I mention the "Child Migrants" on some of them, but in
the south I only belong to the Florida (USA) List. The people on the Lists for Virginia
(USA) might be interested in the "children without parents" who arrived there in
1600's.)
