Hello Listers,
I have a couple of questions.
1. Does anyone know where, Bryn Mawr,South Wales is located?
2. Does anyone know If there is a 1831 Census of Wales & If so
where I might access it?
( I have the 1831 & 1841 Census Index for Ireland on Cd's )
3. Does anyone know where I might find Pre 1837 BMD's?
and where I might access them ?
Thanks evrybody for your help.

Sheri - For British places try Streetmap on the Net - Bryn Mawr just means
'Big Hill', so there are quite a few. The 1831 Census was purely
numerical, and no good to us - I do not understand how you can have anything
useful for 1831 Ireland ). Pre-1837 marriages were all Church, but for
Quakers. Jews and, I think, Roman Catholics, and you can often get parish
indexes from County family history societies - if you know the parish, to
which later census records often give a lead . From the time that the
Calvinistic Methodists broke with the Church (1813 in Wales, I think)
baptisms and burials are harder to find, because an increasing proportion of
our people didn't go to churches, and their chapel records are often very
patchy. Hope this helps. Hwyl, Tony
