Dear list,
Margaret & Brian Harvey send me this of the 1851 census a year ago.
I have not been able to establish any more facts about my Jone's and Chilton's. I
have been working on the family in B.C. Canada and learned quite a lot.My grandfather is
William (Chilton) aged 3 on this census.
In the 1881 census John and Elizabeth are retired to Cross Lane Berriew MTYWales.I have 2
more children Thomas born 1851 and Ann Williams Jones 1854., from Familysearch.org.I think
from my searching John's parents were John & Jane or Peter & Elizabeth.born
before the turn of the 19th century. I searched over 800 Jones on the IGI, Freeband
Rootsweb and
Familysearch.org. Would anyone have access to the censuses 1821 to 71
excluding 51 that would give me
some kind of affirmation. Elizabeth used Eliza at times and Cas Caerieno is Castle
Caerienion. I have cousins, I was told by the name of Williams, so John's mothers name
could be Williams. I typed in John Jones b. 1849-51, 27 came up from that area around
Berriew. My Chilton's have disappeared, they are all in a 30 mile area in the middle of
Shropshire, not Chirbury.
Thankyou,Jane Elizabeth Jones Gosselin,
