Hi,
I am researching my Lewis family of Llanafan Fawr in Breconshire and I know
there were James living in the community around the time you mention.
Eleanor Lewis married James James 18/2/1757 and I have a list of their
children if you are interested.
I don't know if you have the place names in Breconshire where your ancestors
originated but if not this may be a starting point.
Regards,
Margaret Harvey

Subject: [WALES-GEN] Searching for Welsh Ancestors: James & Foreman
Hi List,
I am searching for ancestors of Evan James, born 1756 in Breconshire,
Wales. His parents are possibly James and Mary James, both born about 1734
in
Wales. I find them listed in passengers to America index in 1775,
listed
as
convicts? Any thoughts as to where to find out what they did to be
transported?
Also searching for ancestors of Jacob Foreman born also around 1734
in
Wales, Maryland or Virginia. Jacob's daughter, Ann married Evan
James
around
time of Revolutionary War in Virginia. They lived for a while with
Jacob
in
Virginia, but Evan dies about 1810, and Ann goes with some of her
children
and father to Ohio. They settle around Irville, Muskingum, Ohio. Ann also
has
a sister, name unknown at this time, who married a Joseph Spencer.
They
also
go to Muskingum Co., Ohio from Virginia/Maryland area about the same
time.
I
haven't been able to find Jacob Foreman in any passenger lists,
so he may
have been born in America. I have no clues as to his parentage.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
