Hello
I know this isn't strictly Welsh genealogy, as St. Martin's
appeared in Shropshire, but I thought since it was bordering Wales it
would be ok to post. I would like to order in the 1871 census for St.
Martins to see if I can find my great great grandparents and their small
family. I've found them in Liverpool in 1881 and Chirk in 1891, but
their children were born in St. Martins in 1868 and 1873. I looked on
the FHL catalogue and came up with the following:
1871 RG 10/2783-2784, FHL Film 838842 Item 1
1871 RG 10/2783-2784 FHL Film 838842 Item 3
1871 RG 10/2785-2787 FHL Film 838843
Which film do you think I should order? I'm not very familiar with the
numbers (like 2783 etc) or the Item numbers, so if this is a 'your guess
is as good as mine' question, sorry. I don't believe there is an 1871
index for the census either, but I would love someone to prove me wrong.
Sincerely
Taryn Jones
