I have been reading the research you have been doing on the list. I was wondering if you
could help me with my Jones ancestors. My grandfather was born in Berriew, Montgomeryshire
at Brooklane Farm in 1847. His name was William Chilton Jones and he had a brother
Richard I think his fathers name was John. If I cannot connect to him I would like some
info on Berriew. He emmigrated thru the USA.as a cowboy and then worked building the
railway and then came to BC. as a bridgeman building the CPR railway. He had 4 sons
William John(my father) Oliver Paul and Pryce LLewelen. Names seem to repeat themselves in
families. There is a whole history of him in BC. Can. as a Cloverdale pioneer. They all
married fairly late in life.so I never met him. I think the only way to find a Jones is
the town in which they were born.Anything you could tell me would be most helpful.
Australia is having a hot summer, I am sorry about the fires. We have a lot of relatives
in New south Wales & Queensland. We have had record rains in BC. It would be nice if
it evened out. Thankyou ,
Jane in now cold & rainy BC
