"Thomas L. Morgan, for many years outside boss of No. 1 colliery, Kingston Coal Co.,
succumbed to the serious injuries he received a fortnight ago by being crushed between
cars near the breaker. Mr. Morgan had been a faithful employee for nearly 20 years, and
was one of Hon. Daniel Edwards' choice, and to the day of his death merited the great
confidence and trust placed in him by employer and employee. He was 56 years of age and
was a devoted member of the Welsh Congregational Church. He was also a member of the
ancient Welsh order of True Ivorities, who will take charge of his remains. Funeral
Saturday at 2 o'clock from his residence in Edwardsville. The body will be taken from
the residence to the Welsh Congregational Church, where a funeral discourse will be given
by the pastor, Rev. T.C. Edwards. Interment at Forty Fort. He leaves a widow and two
adult sons, John J. Morgan, bookkeeper with Edwards & Co., and Thomas Morgan, outside
foreman of No. 4 colliery. He w!
