My mother is a Coleman, she says the first Colemans lived in Wales. With the
information I have this family was in VA., USA as far back as 1770 because I
have Jordan Coleman b. abt 1770 in VA. My aunt says they were coal miner,
the source of the name. I have no information past Jordan, I just located
him late in 2002. This family is now in TX and is a large family.

Subject: [WALES-GEN] Birth/Christening Records Bangor Caernarvon
Hi, I am new to the list. I believe I found my ancestor on the
International Genealogical Index. It lists John Carroll, Christening May
18, 1816 Bangor, Caernarvon, Wales. As I am in the US, I wondered if some
kind person could advise me where I could write for this or a birth record
and the fees required. Thank you in advance for your help. Agnes
