"Thomas T. Jones, one of the best known Welsh residents of the Heights,
died yesterday of general debility, having been a sufferer for several
years. He came to this city in 1869 with his family from Cwmbach
Aberdare, Wales, and has resided here since. His wife died six years
ago. He leaves the following adult children: John Jones, Evan Jones,
Mrs. Albert Davis of Wilkes-Barre and Jenkin Jones of Plymouth. He was
70 years of age. He was a Unitarian in religion, but of recent years
was a regular attendant of the First Congregational Church, Hillside
street. He was also a member of the Lletty Ivor Lodge of Ivorites, who
will attend the funeral in a body. He was a man of excellent character
and was high respected in the community. The funeral will be held on
Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Roberts will officiate. Interment in
Hollenback Cemetery. The lodge of Ivorites will meet at 1 o'clock in
their hall to attend the funeral."
