I would appreciate any help you can give me, as I am not very good with
words, so don't know how to go about asking people, or what questions to ask

Don't know what response you have had yet but a good place to start could
be to mail one of the well known Older foundation Golf Clubs who could
then
give you the local club that your relative would probably have
started
with.
If you want any more help on this ,get back to me as I know a little
about
the Golf world although a dreadful player.!!
