it in

If visiting, Risca and Pontymister have a railway station on the
newly-reconstituted Ebbw Valley line.

I think the place may be Pontymister (no 'n') which is part of a town
called Risca, in the county of Monmouthshire. It comes under the
registration district of Newport, which is now a fair sized city close by.
