"The death of Mrs. Benjamin Krothe occurred at her home in Plymouth yesterday morning
at 4 o'clock. She was born in Aberdare, South Wales, in 1840, and came to this
country when quite young, and has since resided at Carbondale, Pittston and Plymouth,
where she has lived for forty years. The deceased was a well known and respected woman
and was a devout Christian. Her husband and the following children survive her: Mrs.
Frank Madden of Kingston, William, Talliesent, Benjamin and John. The funeral will be
held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be conducted at the house by
Rev. J.S. Davis, pastor of the Welsh Baptist Church. Interment will be in Shawnee
Cemetery."
