Hi again,
I wonder if Sarah-Jane was known as Jane and is the one on the Census?
Regards,
Margaret

Subject: [WALES-GEN] THOMAS Edward (Neath, GLA)
Hi Everyone,
My name is Norman and I am a new subscriber. Can anyone help me to locate
my
grandfathers birth certificate ?.
His name was Edward THOMAS and I'm led to believe that he may
have been
born out of wedlock. I know that he married Mary- Hannah MILES on the 19
May
1903 at Neath registry office. Stating his age as 25, his address as 17
Pen-y-dre, Neath, and father not named.
Who can tell me who else lived at the same address?.
I also have his death certificate from 21 July 1943 signed by a
doctor,after an
inquest held at Neath, the age on his death certificate is
66. Now putting these two dates together it would seem that he was born
between July 1877 and June 1878 can someone try to locate him on the 1881
census, when he would presumably be around 4-5yrs old.
One of the witnesses to his marriage was a women called Sarah-Jane
THOMAS,
I would like to find out if this was his mother or sister ?, was this who
was living at 17,Pen-y-dre, Neath ?.
I have searched at the PRO in London but to no avail, and as I reside
in
Hertfordshire it is not always easy to travel to Swansea. Thanking whom it
may concern in anticipation.
