I need some powers of logical deduction to help me out here. Here is my data:

Marriage Certificate:
1877 Marriage solemnized at the Church in the Parish of Llandyfodwg in the County of
Glamorgan
no 1119 Jan 22nd 1877
Isaac Bonsall, 24, Bachelor, Collier, Gilvach Coch, father Richard Bonsall, Carpenter
Emma Parker, 20, Spinster,, Gilvach Coch, father John Parker, Labourer
witnesses John Powell, William Benjamin
The problem:
The census data shows Isaac as age 30, so approx birthdate is 1850, 1851.
The marriage cert shows Isaac as age 24 at time of marriage, so approx birthdate is 1853,
but more likely 1852.
Emma's (Elmma) age seems to match as does the place (I think). Yet I would expect
that if this were the Isaac I was searching for, he would be 28 or 29 at the time of the
census, not 30.
I also can find no corresponding record in the IGI (not a showstopper, I know), but there
was an Isaac Bonsall there, parents listed as Isaac and Rosa, whose birth year did match
the census data (christened Jan 1851).
I'm sure the circumstantial evidence is right up there to say that these 2 (4?) people
are 2 in the same:) However that age gap really bothers me. If you were working on your
own family tree, what would be your opinion? How popular a name is Emma Parker?
Thanks in advance for any response-
Kind regards,
Amy
