Hello List,
I wish I had a problem like misspelling a werd. I'm reasonabally sure my Jones line
originated in Whales but I can't get them past Marryland and I'm not even sure
that is correct. Most of my paternal line is Irich and I have some of them back to the
1600's but not those elusive Jones's.
I'm hoping to find a Jones family in Whales who has a family member who came to
America in the late 1600's and settled in Virginia then North Carolina and who
remembers one son, Stephen, who was born in St, Mary's County, Marryland in 1750. It
seems that all the records in St. Mary's County were destroyed during the Civil War
and I have hit a brik wall.
Seriously, I just caught the end of the spelling conversation and I thought I would try to
add a little humor. I hope I succeeded and didn't upset anyone.
