Hi again,
As Joan said, you can Google either "British Home Children" or "Home
Children, Canada" to find many sites about them. And there are 3 BHC
data bases that I know of where you can search for a loved-one. And,
there is a BHC List and a BHC Board. And, browsing the archives of both
will be - an education - for you.

If people on this List are interested, I can post the URL's for the
important web sites, including these:

I don't remember whether I mentioned that during May - 2 - BHC QUILTS will
be completed. And, they will be displayed in a few areas. We are
hoping that pictures of them can be sent to other areas.
My great-grandparents, John "Stanley" LEWIS and Mary Elizabeth CORKILL, and
their 13 children, are included on this "memory quilt."

P.S. There used to be web sites and "groups" for the "Former Child
Migrants." Those were the thousands of unwanted children who were "shipped
to Australia and New Zealand," etc. But, I think these are no longer
active. This "scheme" went on up through the 1960's. I've been
trying to find out if someone wanted to start up a new Group for them.
(Children also went to Africa and Malta, and wherever there was a British
Colony.)
