It might be helpful to tell us where you got the information on 'Nert'. Was
it from a transcription of a census page? If so, what did the original say?
Neath is the place that comes to mind.
However, suspecting an 'Ancestry Fantasy' I found your man in Hackney in
1851, with the location you describe. His middle name is clearly written as
Hazard not Haryard and I suspect that the location is Wales N k meaning Not
Known - just as it is in 1861 when he is in Newington Surrey as R H Durrant
with wife S born Gloucester. It is just about possible that the 1851 entry
might be Wales Nth. meaning North.
He married in Gloucester in 1857, probably to Sarah Davis - see
www.FreeBMD.org.uk . His marriage certificate should give father's name and
occupation.
Best wishes with your research
Jeff

to an area; I have recently discovered Robert Haryard DURRANT was born c
1830 Nert, Wales.
I have googled Nert and searched maps of Wales but nothing is forthcoming,
please can someone advise what area/Parish Nert falls into?
