p.s. where there naming patterns in Wales? As the Haryard (which is recorded
on his daughter's death certificate in South Africa) could be a parents
surname? (Just a guess!)

with wife S born Gloucester. It is just about possible that the 1851 entry
might be Wales Nth. meaning North.
He married in Gloucester in 1857, probably to Sarah Davis - see
