Hi Everyone
Does anyone know of any directories that would of covered all of North Wales between the two world wars.I am researching a friends family history. His father William
Arthur Frederick Weston was born in Kenilworth, warwickshire to an unmarried mother in 1915.There was no fathers name on
birth certificate or given when he was baptised in the same year in Kenilworth.
Nothing is known of William Arthur Frederick Weston until he marries in Honiley,Warwickshire in 1937.On the marriage certificate he gives his father as William Weston - Farmer. Also he now speaks welsh fluently and appears to have a knowledge of Wales in particular the
snowdonia area indicating that he has spent some time in Wales possibly from a young age.The theory is that William Weston -farmer may of been a grandfather or uncle that he was sent to live with, who he possibly thought of as having been his father.
I would like to prove whether there was a William Weston running a farm between those years and possibly beyond.Would he of belonged to a farmers union?.This is a long shot and I realise Weston is not a welsh family name.
regards
Mike Roberts
