"Robert Howe, who resided at 14 Hillside Street, died yesterday morning, aged 50 years, from spinal disease. He has been a resident of this city for the past twenty-two years, and was a man well up in general knowledge, and was always fond of debate on any topic, and was one of the strongest Republicans of the city. Before his illness he was considerably interested in political work. He was a shoemaker by trade and did a thriving business for many years. About two years ago he was taken ill, and he thought that a journey to his native home, Ogmore, St. Bride's Major, Wales, where at one time he kept the Pelican Inn, would improve his health. It did him no good, and upon his return he gradually grew worse, and finally was stricken with paralysis. He leaves a widow and three adult children, Wm. Howe, Wendell Howe and Mrs. Annie Owens, all of who are residents of this city. He has a brother named Joseph Howe, a stone mason, also a resident in the city, and several other !
relatives. Deceased was a member of the Ancient Order of Foresters, and was the founder of Court Primrose, No. 7360. The court will attend the funeral in a body. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at 2:30 from the residence, 14 Hillside Street. Rev. E.J. Morris, pastor of the Puritan Church, will officiate."

Does anyone know of my Bush family?
John Bush, father to my ggggrandfather, George Bryant Bush and his siblings Sarah Bryant Bush and John Bryant Bush - possible that mother was Hannah Bryant and they were all born in Radstock, Somerset.
Somewhere along the way they moved on to Wales - where Arthur and Frank were born. Did these children all have Hannah Bryant as their mother.
According to marriage certificates we have in Australia - George Bryant Bush lists his parents as John Bush and Hannah Bryant, where Arthur Bush, lists his parents as John Bush and Anna Sims.
Are these 2 travelling companions who came to Australia in the early 1860's brothers, or were we just led to believe they were? Are they cousins? Can anyone help?
Can't find any records via internet after 1881 census that lists Anna Bush (71), John Bush (44) and Frank Bush (30). Does anyone know their wives or children's history - could they be my lot?
John has Ellen as his wife, while Frank has Jane - I'm at a total loss with this lot, any help greatly appreciated.
TIA
Lin (nee Bush)
