Hello Listers,
I am looking for information on a George Williams. He initially appears in
the 1880 Racine County census. His correct name is George W. Williams. He
was probably born in Scotland or Wales in 1839. He was married to a woman
named Jennie (no maiden name shown). She was probably born in Scotland or
Wales in 1846.
They had six children. The kids are:
Della Williams, born 1867 probably in Wisconsin
Helena Williams, born 1869, probably in Wisconsin
Harry Williams, born 1871, probably in Wisconsin
Albert Williams, born 1874, probably in Wisconsin
Franklin Williams, born 1876, probably in Wisconsin
Elery Chandler Williams born 1879 probably in Wisconsin.
The kids may have all been born in the old country as well.
George Williams died in Racine County in February 1897.
His death certificate shows he died in Union Grove Wisconsin and that he was
a house painter and a pauper. He is supposedly buried on (looks like) Die or
Du Jenn Farm. The people reporting his death are Joseph Sanders and H.S.
Leiler.
Specifically, I am looking for a direct link to George Williams father in the
old country (most likely) and for the farm he is supposedly buried on.
George Williams is my GG-Grandfather.
