Come on down and make a splash in our beautiful waterfalls or take a hike
along the Appalachian Trail by visiting Northeast Georgia at:

You'll be stomping your feet to "Dueling Banjos" from the movie
Deliverance which was filmed in Northeast Georgia. We have included photos
of the breathtaking scenery along with a lot of information about its
history, libraries, genealogical & historical societies, roadside markers,
historical sites, biographies of some of our notables, scenic points of
interest, list of epidemics by date, typical naming traditions, and 14
historical maps. We also have a travel guide link in case you want to make
a research trip and a great clickable map by Tim Stowell to quickly jump to
our county web sites..
GAGenWeb has recently incorporated Regional Coordinators who assist
approximately 20 County Coordinators each. We provide info that covers
more than one county and other regional research helps while our state web
site provides state-wide information. We strive to help folks by filling
in this gap between state and counties, so that they have a better
understanding on how to do Georgia research with even more info to check
out. The Northeast GA Regional web site is still in its infancy, so stop
by often.
Look forward to seeing you'all real soon!
