I am a fairly new CO-CC in WAGenWeb, (without state voting rights) but I
would like to jump in and say one comment about Oregon's proposed bylaws
change that I think may be a problem....
Existing:
>Section 2. This purpose shall be accomplished by presenting
websites
>which shall be central repositories of historical and genealogical
>research data, donated either by the website Coordinator or other
>contributor.
Proposed:
>Section 2. This purpose shall be accomplished by a mutual linkage
>of websites which shall be central repositories of historical and
>genealogical research data.
I guess I don't like the terms mutual linkage, because to me that means all
the county sites are just links to other data. (not to contain any data on
our county pages?) Not that I don't think we should provide links, but our
sites are supposed to be more than that.....aren't they? Or am I missing
something?
