Hi all!
Good news etc.
Sad to say Cindy Grubb has given up the northeastern counties. She did a
lot of work and unlike the rest of us burned herself out.
Wonderful to say we have two new volunteers:
Ferry county will be coordinated by Marg Reid at mvreid(a)eskimo.com. She
lives near me in Snohomish county and has worked long and hard on a page
primarily for Boston Germans at
http://www.eskimo.com/~mvreid/
There is a lot more there too.
Pend Oreille county will coordinated by Fred Smoot at dogtrot(a)well.com
He actually lives in California but does own property in the county which
is more than some of us. You will also see his name at the National level
on the Digital Maps Project.
Welcome to WAGenWeb to both Marg and Fred
Spokane and Pierce counties are also up for adoption. Whitman will
available maybe this weekend. I am looking for people who are truly
involved with the county to take these on. I will be announcing these
counties to the local societies to see if anyone is interested.
The annual USGenWeb elections are coming up. I will ask John Ashmun if he
would like to be the liason with the election committee. In the meantime,
PLEASE check this link to see if your address, email is correct especially
if you want to vote for the representative in our region:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wagenweb/cos3.htm
Remember this page is for our use only, do not make a link to it from any
where. Thanks.
There are still a couple of you who do not have current USGenWeb and
WaGenWeb logos on your page. You only HAVE to have them on one,
preferably the first one. Please get with the game. There is only one
choice for WAGenWeb, but there are several choices at:
http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/namelogo.html
If you have problems doing this, talk with Mike Sweeney, he is a great
help.
Keep up the great work! or at least get those queries up.
More later,
Celia Tomlin
