I just checked the RCW and do not find any reference to unincorporated
non-profits. You might want to check Washington state pages, try
www.wa.gov/ago
or contact the Attorney Generals office.

Thanks, Celia. These went online after I wrote my little article this
morning. As bylaws go, they're a lot better than the earlier draft,
though they don't sort out anything I asked about.
The board is now proposing that The USGenWeb Project be known as an
unincorporated non-profit association.
Alta Vista didn't find much on "unincorporated non-profit association."
This is a legal entity recognized in Texas
