Hello All,
I am pleased to announce a new appointment to our Project Team. Maggie
Rail (mrail(a)pacnw.com) of Spokane has been named Eastern Washington
Cemetery Coordinator, and is responsible for obtaining and preparing for
online placement cemetery files for Eastern Washington counties. Please
contact her if you receive any cemetery data for those counties, or refer
inquiries directly to her.
Maggie will be joining us on this list as soon as her subscription goes
through, in order to communicate with the county coordinators in her work.
As soon as she joins us here, I hope you will welcome her to our group. She
has already done a great deal of work for us and is largely responsible for
the dramatic recent increase we have seen in our records holdings in her area.
The workload in the WA GenWeb Archives has increased exponentially, and I
am desperately in need of more help. I need volunteers to fill positions
similar to Maggie's for Western Washington Cemeteries, for statewide
Biographies, and for statewide Vital Records. Soon even more assistants
will be needed as the workload continues to grow. Each County Coordinator
is already in effect an Assistant Archive Coordinator for their county, but
if you or someone you know can help out in this, the most important part of
our US GenWeb work, it would certainly be appreciated. The position
requires no HTML work, it is one of working with, reformatting and
maintaining text files.
Thank you,
Kevin Fraley (Swimref(a)cmc.net)
Washington GenWeb Archives Manager
