Good grief people......
You are the ones who determine if you are "interested." If you are,
then take care of your county archives, if you aren't, then don't, and
someone else will. There is nothing "new" about this, and nothing
complicated. Please take time to read my last message. Shaking head......

I agree. If this is something new it should be voted upon, not TOLD

I don't think Kevin, or any one else for that matter, should make the
decision "who is interested" in what. We volunteer to be the coordinators
for our counties, to maintain our websites, to gather new data, to answer
queries to spread ourselves among all of the counties which we maintain and
now someone suddenly is going to tell us who is INTERESTED enough! I don't
think so! I for one am active in many things in the genealogical community
including maintaining five counties, fifteen mail lists, teaching genealogy
(for free), teaching internet research (for free), doing lookups for 20+
counties and family associations, recording cemeteries, and many more . I
also work 40 hours a week and am a mother, grandma and wife. Who is to say
what I am interested in? Definitely not Kevin! If you are suddenly going
to change policy and makeup new positions, then it had better be done with a
vote!
