Put on your old silk bonnet with the red (?) ribbons on it...."
Stop #9 on our 1998 Virtual USGenWeb Tour!
The site for Friday, November 13, is:
Howard County, Indiana
<
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inhoward/county.html>
Howard County, located in north central Indiana, was formed in 1844 from
parts of Carroll, Miami and Cass counties as well as the Miami Indian
Reserve. It is one of the 4 "youngest" counties in Indiana, as well as the
only county to change its name by legislative enaction (originally
Richardville County).
Stop by for some Hoosier Hospitality - read some turn of the century
chronologies and pioneer speeches, browse through queries, obituaries and
other newspaper extracts and leave comments.
You can be the next person to showcase your USGenWeb site on this tour! Be
quick on the "send" button, because the first email message I receive
saying
"I want to host the Virtual USGenWeb Tour for Saturday, November 14th!"
will
be the next stop.
