Subject: [USGENWEB-ALL-L] 1998 USGenWeb Virtual Tour - Stop #10
Date: Saturday, November 14, 1998 7:20 AM
"Take a drive through the beautiful rolling hills of southeastern
Indiana with
Versailles State Park as a destination."
Stop #10 on our 1998 Virtual USGenWeb Tour!
The site for Saturday, November 14, is:
Ripley County, IN
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inripley/index.html
After the 11th census of the United States in 1890, the center of our
nation's population was declared to be just 3 miles south of Versailles,
at a little spot called Correct. There is a marker on west side of US
Hiway 421 designating the spot as the "Center of Population of the
United States in 1890".
You can be the next person to showcase your USGenWeb site on this tour!
Be
quick on the "send" button, because the first email message I receive
saying
"I want to host the Virtual USGenWeb Tour for Sunday, November 15th!"
will
be the next stop.
Proud of my Heritage and it shows!!
