Hey Gang
Don't know how many of you are familiar with Myra Gromley... She has been a
major newspaper voice in Seattle WA with her weekly genealogy articles in the PI
An article printed 30 September 2000

Says
"If you're a fan of Myra Gormley's Family Tree column, please let us hear
from you. The column will be on hiatus for a few weeks, and we'd like to gauge reader
interest. Contact us by phone by leaving a message at 206-448-8051 or write to Family Tree
Editor, Seattle P-I, 101 Elliott Ave. W., Seattle WA 98119-4220."

Am I dismayed... Well heck yes. For years I pretended I was as clever as Myra
(after all I taught a genealogy class <sigh>). Finally I actually heard her speak at
a genealogy convention. OH MY. Clever, Smart, Humorous, and Nice. Even though I taught
the class documentation after her speech I practiced documentation.
Myra has been a genealogy voice on Prodigy for years and then became associated with
Rootsweb... So her online presence will continue...but for the PI to discontinue her
articles... Well, Seattle needs all the help it can get. If you feel so inclined, please
contact the PI by snail mail or perhaps drop Chris an e-mail
