Ok, RootsWeb has mail lists set up for each county in the USGenWeb project.
You have not asked to adopt the list and have a mail list for your county so
they have put the list up for adoption. If you are interested in adopting
it you need to go to
http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/adoptable/WA.html and
follow the directions given
These mail lists are a nice tool for researchers in your county and very
easy to maintain! If you decide to adopt one, I will help you if you ever
need any help.

Can you explain what this is a little more? I'm the coordinator for Grays
